Two dead in shooting near Eureka

A 19-year-old man and 16-year-old girl were found shot dead south of Eureka early Saturday morning, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department.

Shortly after 1 a.m., deputies and detectives from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a shooting at a residence on Tobacco Road. They found the two dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

Sheriff Daryl Anderson is withholding the names of the victims' until relatives are notified. Additional information is being withheld pending further investigation.
