Carolyn Pfohl Erickson passed away as a result of cardiac arrest on June 27, 2006, in Victoria, British Columbia, while vacationing with her adoring husband.

Carolyn was born Oct. 11, 1952. She attended Drake University and was an honors graduate of the University of Montana. Carolyn was a civic leader, philanthropist, banker, business woman and a fabulous mother and wife. She, along with Bruce Erickson, her husband of 35 years, built American Bank of Montana.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Bruce; their son, Tyler Erickson, who resides in Bozeman and Scottsdale, Ariz.; their daughter, Taylor Erickson, of Bozeman; her mother, Mary Lou Countryman, of Bozeman; and her brother, Ross Pfohl, of Big Sky.

Carolyn lived life with class, dignity and boundless energy.

Although constantly immersed in activities to benefit others, she devoted herself to her family. She was especially proud of her children. She beamed when she spoke of Taylor receiving her master's degree from the University of San Diego and of Tyler's success as a professional golfer. Her passing has left a tremendous void in the lives of those who knew her.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 2, at the Ericksons' home, 3587 Sourdough Road, in Bozeman.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Eagle Mount, 6901 Goldenstein Lane, Bozeman; or Hospice Care, 504 S. 13th Street, Livingston.
