Lucille Bissner, 80

Lucille Bissner, 80, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2006, in Kalispell.

She was born on Sept. 4, 1925 in Los Angeles, to Earl and Olive (Teehan) Kaufman. She was the second born of five sisters and one brother, and helped her mother care for the younger children. Lucille graduated from high school from Ramona Convent in Alhambra, Calif.

In 1947, Lucille married Harold James Bissner Jr. They divorced in 1976. Lucille attended UCLA for a year. She came to Montana from Pasadena, Calif., five years ago to be with her daughter in Kalispell.

Lucille was a member of the Risen Christ Catholic Church. She enjoyed collecting antiques, volunteering in school libraries, and loved foreign films and art.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Betty Ann Kitchew.

She is survived by three daughters, Carol McNamara of Malibu, Calif., Sue Bissner of Kalispell, and Teresa Garcin of Santa Monica, Calif.; one son, Jamie Bissner of Altadena, Calif.; five grandchildren, Sarah McNamara, Kati McNamara, Kali McNamara, Tracy Dano and Theresa Bissner.

Memorial services will be held in California.
