Our beloved Pamela Sue Eacker, 56, a former resident of Kalispell, passed away Feb. 23, 2006, at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Pam was born May 7, 1949, in Everett, Wash.

Her family moved to Fairbanks when Pam was a 1-year-old and she attended local schools. She graduated from Copper Center High School.

On Sept. 23, 1983, she married Ron Eacker in Las Vegas. She raised his four children as her own and she and Ron had one daughter. They lived in Kalispell where Pam stayed busy as a homemaker and mother, not only to her five children but to many foster children over the years. They returned to Fairbanks in 2005.

Her family said, 'Pam was a great wife and mother. She loved her stepchildren as her own. She opened her home to many foster children over the years, and they all loved her dearly and called her Mom. She was deeply loved, and we will keep her in our hearts forever.'

She was predeceased by her mother, Ruth Johnson, and her father.

She is survived by her husband, Ron, of Fairbanks; sons, Terry Eacker of Kalispell, Troy Eacker of Rock Island, Ill., and James Eacker of Palm Desert, Calif.; daughters, Michelle Randals of Davenport, Iowa, and Erin Eacker of Kalispell; her stepfather, John 'Pa' Johnson, of Fairbanks; seven grandchildren; sisters, Gail Holyoke and Patty Romero, both of Kalispell; brother, Gary Thompson, of Poulsbo, Wash.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held in Fairbanks and Kalispell.
