went to a disturbance Wednesday on Montana 209, where one roommate hauled out a can of pepper spray in a dispute with the other. Bigfork Fire and Medical took the contaminated man to the fire hall for a cool shower.

Domestic problems abounded in the valley. On Concord Drive, a man kicked in a door and then left. On Whitetail Meadows Road, someone called the Sheriff's Office and didn't say anything, but on the open line, a dispatcher could hear cursing. A deputy went to the house and found grounds to ticket a man on suspicion of partner assault. A dispute between neighbors on Montana 206 is about rabbits running loose.

On Ridgewood Drive, a man reported that his ex-wife harasses him. Another man was charged with partner assault near Woodland Park. Deputies went to a disturbance in Hungry Horse.

A woman who is unwelcome on Big Mountain showed up there again Thursday. At Town Pump near the Blue Moon, a woman caused problems by "being snotty." A deputy gave her a ride home. It was at 3 a.m. on U.S. 2 that a man said a woman hit him with her car. She's run him over before, too, he said.

It was Hat Day at Evergreen Junior High School on Thursday, and one student went home bareheaded after another reportedly stole her hat.
