The Marion woman who called the Flathead County Sheriff's Office Friday didn't know anything else about the strange man in her house. She'd never seen him before. She wondered if he was on drugs.

He told her his name was 'R.J.'

Her husband loaded a shotgun while 'R.J.' waited outside, but left the weapon in the house while the two chatted on the porch.

By the time deputies arrived, 'R.J.' was gone. He said he was headed to Libby. The deputies searched the area and talked to neighbors, but the man had vanished as suddenly as he'd arrived.

Someone reported being threatened by a fellow shopper while in Wal-Mart Friday night.

Early Saturday morning, a man learned breakups affect more than just the couple involved. He said his ex-girlfriend's friends had scratched his pickup with rocks.

More vehicle vandalism was reported a couple of hours later, when a man called to report a car belonging to Flathead Bank in Bigfork had been vandalized.

A woman called to change a report she'd made to deputies a few weeks ago.

At that time, several of her neighbors had had their cars rummaged through. S he was asked if anything was missing from her car. At the time she didn't think anything was missing. She later discovered she was missing a "fish bat" from her car.

A man in Marion reportedly keeps trespassing on airport property. The person who made the call said the man crossed the airstrip right in front of a landing plane one day. He has been asked repeatedly to stay off the property.

A man reported Saturday morning he'd just received an anonymous call warning him to check on his belongings. The man told the sheriff's office a woman had been storing his guitar, amp and computer, but the mysterious caller told him she had pawned them.

Both the sheriff's office and Kalispell police received calls Friday evening about gunshots. A man called the sheriff's office to report six shots that sounded like a cannon somewhere behind his house, where the new and old U.S. 2 meet.
