A crop formation
of the criminal-mischief kind was reported Wednesday to Flathead County sheriff's deputies. Someone damaged a wheat field on Trumble Creek Road with a four-wheel-drive vehicle.
A concerned resident in the Bitterroot area who lost contact with a friend on the telephone called deputies to investigate. It turned out his friend just got tired of holding on call-waiting and hung up.
Deputies received a report of a burglary on Valley Drive. Better news was received from Smokey Bear Lane, where a pistol presumed stolen was found.
A driver added assault to injury in a road-rage incident late Tuesday near Fastoys.
The assaulted driver told the Sheriff's Office that he followed a vehicle into the parking lot after its driver cut him off several times. The suspect then got out, kicked his car then hit him.
