The Smith Valley Fire Department

went to a controlled burn Monday at the base of Lone Pine and to haystack fires that reportedly burned unattended on Browns Meadow Road.

The Columbia Falls Fire Department went to Martha Road on Tuesday when smoke was reported in an apartment. No fire was found, but there was an abundance of incense burning in the vacant residence.

The Kalispell Fire Department went to a report of a vehicle accident Tuesday on Buffalo Hill. It turned out to be just a disabled vehicle.

Less than a half-hour later, a real crash with injuries was reported in the same area.
