Norma Doreen Duff, 80
Norma Doreen Duff, 80, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2006, at the Colonial Manor in Whitefish of natural causes.
She was born in Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia on Nov. 15, 1925, the daughter of Grace and Gordon Wassman.
Norma completed her education in Rockhampton and shortly thereafter met and fell in love with Roy M. Duff, who was then serving in the Pacific Theater of World War II. They married Nov. 8, 1944. After the conclusion of the war, Norma came to Whitefish and joined Roy in operating their business, Whitefish and Hungry Horse Taxi which is now Rocky Mountains Transportation. They also later owned and operated Duff Chevrolet.
Norma is survived by her husband of 61 years, Roy Duff, in Whitefish; sons, Mark Duff and his wife, Lynne, and Dale Duff and his wife, Diane; grandchildren, Kevin, Scott, Amanda, Shelby, and Sean; a great-grandchild, Azlyn; a sister, Coral Robins; a brother, Keith Wassman; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 17, at the United Methodist Church in Whitefish. Burial will follow services at the Whitefish Cemetery under the direction of the Austin Funeral Home in Whitefish.
The family suggests that memorials be given to the Methodist Church building fund.
