The Flathead County Sheriff's Office

responded to a report about a fir tree that was cut and felled across two lanes of Star Meadows Road early Sunday morning. Deputies and an area resident removed the tree with a chain saw and tractor.

A 17-year-old girl was injured Sunday afternoon on Big Mountain and was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

An elk statue, a bear statue, a compact disc player and two cameras were stolen from a Martin City home.

A purse was stolen Saturday afternoon from a car parked at the Spinnaker in Lakeside.
