Minnie M. Arnold, 76, passed away March 18, 2006, in Nine Mile Falls, Wash.

She was born July 7, 1929, in Whitefish, the daughter of Ross and Alice (Stocking) Donohoe.

Minnie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Roy Arnold, in August 2005.

She is survived by her children, Matt Arnold and Lenya Treewater of Seattle, Mark and Robin Arnold, John and Stephanie Arnold, Cathy and Mike Sacco, Joe Arnold, and Beth and Jim Brasch, all of Spokane, Peggy and Scott Spiegelberg of Corvalis, Ore., Tom and Kathleen Arnold, and Bill and Dina Arnold, also all of Spokane; 23 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

As a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was a true leader of the Arnold clan.

Minnie grew up and graduated from Whitefish High School. She met Roy after he returned from World War II. Minnie's activities included volunteering at Holy Family Hospital as a patient advocate, leading the Arnold clan in family songs as an accomplished pianist, and orchestrating a safe, loving home. Her skills from nursing school helped with keeping her nine children healthy.

Minnie was always concerned for others more than herself, a true testament to her faith.

Minnie Mae was loved deeply by her husband, family and friends. 'The chain is broken, but will be linked again when we are reunited with her and Roy.'
