Marcel Jakob Rutschmann, 67

Marcel Jakob Rutschmann, 67, passed away March 25, 2006, in Whitefish due to cancer.

He was born Jan. 14, 1939, in Pfaffikon, Switzerland, where he also was raised.

He was a retired engineer who had worked for Comcast Steel and New Sulzer Diesel in Switzerland, and at Wartsila NSD in New Orleans.

Marcel married Elisabeth Blackman Hutchison on July 14, 1998, in New Orleans.

Together, he and his wife started his own company, Limar New Orleans LLC, a service-and-repair business for ship diesel engines in New Orleans.

Marcel's hobbies and interests included photography and bicycling.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jakob and Regina Egger Rutschmann.

He is survived by his wife, Elisabeth Rutschmann-Hutchison, of Whitefish; daughter, Monica Rutschmann Rune, and son, Willy Rutschmann, both of Bergen, Norway; sister, Yrma Rumo of Fribourg, Switzerland and nephew, Etienne Rumo, and niece, Chantal Rumo; grandson, Bjorn Rune, of Bergen, Norway; stepson, Jesse Hampton, of Tokyo, Japan; son-in-law, Jan Ove Rune, of Bergen, Norway; and brother-in-law, Joseph Rumo, of Frigourg.

Cremation has taken place. At his request, no services will be held.
