William 'Bill' Robert Tennant, 68
William "Bill" Robert Tennant, 68, died peacefully of lung cancer at his home in Morgan, Utah, on April 29, 2006. He was born July 11, 1937, to Vern and Mary Wilson Tennant in Kalispell.
He married Elizabeth Diane Jones on June 23, 1957, in Superior. Bill worked at the zinc mine in Kellogg, Idaho; then the cement plant in Devil's Slide, Utah, for 42 years. He also worked numerous part-time jobs: Allgoods Service Station, Heiner Garage, Parkside Bowling Lanes and Barber Brothers.
Bill was a Morgan volunteer policeman years ago and a volunteer fireman with the Morgan Fire Department. He was a member of Morgan's Lion's Lodge. Hobbies were fishing, traveling, hunting, playing pun and bowling. He "proudly" bowled the first 300 series to be bowled at Morgan Bowling Lanes.
Bill is survived by his wife, Diane; and his children, Dick Tennant of Morgan, Pat and Stacey Tennant of Nampa, Idaho, Kevin and Lori Tennant of Buford, Ga.; daughter, Lori, and Gene Bills of Morgan; and seven grandchildren. He also is survived by his brothers, Vern and Audrey Tennant of Missoula, and George and Clara Tennant of Kalispell; and sister, Louise Herbold, of Kalispell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and younger sister, Mary Ellen Drake.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation, 500 Huntsman Way, Salt Lake City, UT 84108.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 6, in the Morgan 5th Ward Chapel in Porterville, Utah. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday.
