Glacier STring Quartet plays Mozart in Polson
Experience the remarkable genius of Mozart as the Glacier String Quartet plays a tribute to "Magnificent Mozart" on Friday, May 19 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 409 4th Ave. E. Polson.
The program will consist entirely of works by Mozart and will feature string quartets from Mozart's early, middle and late periods; Quartet in Eb Major, Quartet in Bb Major "Hunt" and Quartet in F Major "Prussian."
Glacier String Quartet members perform as principals with the Glacier Symphony. They include Sam Taylor and Deborah Ward, violins; Jenanne Solberg, viola; and Christine Sopko, cello.
Also on the concert bill will be the popular "Quintet for Clarinet and Strings in A Major" with special guest Dinah Weimer, the principal clarinetist with the symphony in the soloist's spotlight.
The concert is sponsored by the Montana Community Foundation and the Cadeau Foundation.
Cost of the event is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for youth. Tickets will be available at the door only.
