Wildkats rally past Lions

COLUMBIA FALLS - Columbia Falls scored eight runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to rally past Eureka 11-9 Tuesday in nonconference softball play.

Eureka led 7-3 until the Wildkats cut loose offensively.

"The girls really hung in there," said Columbia Falls coach Dave Kehr.

"We started to make some things happen. We got some hits, we were loading the bases. We just generated some runs when we needed them."

The win lifts Columbia Falls to 12-9 overall. The Wildkats host Libby on Thursday.

Eureka, 12-6, hosts Troy on Thursday.
