Kalispell man hurt in Sunday crash dies

A Kalispell man died Wednesday from injuries he suffered Sunday morning in a traffic accident south of Kalispell.

Ambrose "Ammy" Dean Ballard, 45, was involved in a head-on accident at about 9 a.m. on U.S. 93 and Rocky Cliff Drive.

According to preliminary information from the Montana Highway Patrol, Ballard was driving north on U.S. 93 when he tried to turn left on Rocky Cliff, striking a south-bound Dodge Intrepid.

The driver of the Intrepid reportedly suffered injuries that are not life-threatening.
