Marjorie Floreine Wylder, 86

Marjorie Floreine Wylder passed into the next life at the home of her son, Dennis Wylder, and wife, Francine Wylder, in Tucson, Ariz., on May 7, 2006. Marjorie was a former resident at Buffalo Hill Terraces in Kalispell until April 30, 2006. Due to her illness, she was moved to Tucson to spend her final days in the home of her son Dennis, where she received Home Hospice Care.

Marjorie was born in Donnybrook, N.D. July 15, 1919, the daughter of Sidney and Clara Kirkelie. She grew up on the family farm, graduated from Donnybrook High School and then attended The University of North Dakota, where she graduated in 1941 with a degree in commercial subjects and English education. Marjorie taught school in Towner, N.D.

She married Donald Wylder in 1947 and then became a homemaker. Marjorie and Donald operated their own farm in Harvey, N.D., until they moved in 1954, to the LaSalle area in Kalispell, where they purchased another farm. They continued to operate their own farm in LaSalle, where they raised their three children, Dennis, Donette, and Nancy.

Marjorie is survived by her son, Dennis Wylder and wife, Francine, of Tucson; her daughter, Donette Williams and husband, Bruce, of Louisville, Ky.; her granddaughter, Dierdre Ogden and her two children, Jocelyn, 8, and Terryn, 5, of Las Vegas; and Marjorie's brother, Marlyn Kirlelie, of Donnybrook.

Marjorie's eternal rest will be beside her beloved husband Donald, who recently died on March 23, 2006, and her deceased daughter Nancy (Wylder) Western, who left this world on Nov. 14, 1979.

Graveside memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls. For more information, contact Buffalo Hill Funeral Home at 752-0336.
