| May 23, 2006 1:00 AM

Kalispell police were called by a woman who said an older man with a scruffy beard followed her on the Rails to Trails path and then hid at the bridge, as if he were awaiting for her to return. An officer found not a troll, but a man who is known to police and didn't seem to be causing any problems.

A screaming woman who seemed to have been hit by a car left with the driver on Eighth Avenue West.

On Ninth Avenue West, someone reported two men fighting. Then, someone reported that a man assaulted a woman and took her money. When officers arrived, nobody there wanted to say anything about anything.

A woman on Fourth Avenue East said her boyfriend punched everything in her vehicle. On Ninth Avenue West, a woman called 911 and suggested an officer come and take care of a man before she shot him. She didn't want to cooperate with an officer, though.

A woman said she was a victim of road rage on North Meridian Road where a driver made her pull over and then assaulted her. She got a license-plate number.

A man was arrested on a felony warrant and another faces charges of possessing drugs and disorderly conduct on First Avenue West North. It was DUI and a probation violation for a man on East Idaho Street.

Sprinkler heads were broken at Elrod School. Someone was seen trying to drop off tires and bags of trash on Seventh Street East.

Threats were reported on Eighth Street East and at a business.
