Kalispell police
arrested a man after stopping him on suspicion of a traffic violation Monday night on Sixth Street West. Detective Lt. Roger Nasset said officer Scott McConnell pulled over Michael Ryan Parrott, 21, of Kalispell because Parrott's vehicle was missing a front license plate. Visible inside the vehicle was an AK-47 semi-automatic rifle and a shotgun, Nasset said. Parrott reportedly possessed marijuana, pills prescribed for someone else, and about 6 grams of methamphetamine, Nasset said. A search of the vehicle also yielded an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, Nasset said. Ownership of the guns is still in question, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives was notified.
