Kalispell woman killed in one-vehicle accident

A Kalispell woman died early Wednesday morning in a vehicle accident on Whitefish Stage Road.

Nora Jean Purdy, 61, was alone in her vehicle at about 12:30 a.m. when it went off the road and hit a pole, according to Flathead County Sheriff Jim Dupont.

Purdy was taken to North Valley Hospital and then to Kalispell Regional Medical Center. She was flown from there to St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, where she died.

The accident is under investigation by the Montana Highway Patrol.
