The Flathead County Sheriff's Office
was called Tuesday evening when someone heard a young man yelling for help on the Stillwater River. Officers caught up with a group of people who had been floating on the river. They said their raft got stuck and some people fell in the water, but everyone was fine.
On Flathead Drive, cash, CDs, movies, jewelry, medicine and other items were reported stolen. It was jewelry, CDs, a camera and a video-game player that were outsourced from a home on Maple Drive. A wallet was stolen from a student at Bigfork High School.
A deputy contradicted advice given to a girl in Martin City, where people on four-wheelers reportedly drive over private property and scream and holler at dogs. The girl's father had told her to run the intruders over. The officer suggested other strategies.
