Officer suspected in assault

Kalispell policeman Troy Holt is on administrative leave, accused of sexual assault.

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office is investigating the allegation, based on a report made May 18.The assault allegedly happened while Holt was serving as an associate pastor at Glacier Mountain Fellowship Church.

Detectives with the Sheriff's Office declined to comment about the ages or number of alleged victims, though the alleged offense reportedly involves a minor.

Holt has been with the Police Department for 15 years. He is on paid leave, pending the criminal investigation and a review by the department.

Police Chief Frank Garner had no comment about the charge Thursday beyond a press release he issued.
