South Kalispell Fire Department was dispatched to a home on Shelter Valley Drive, where a puppy was stuck beneath a freezer. The department was canceled on the way after residents were able to rescue the dog themselves.

Loose horses and a coyote that was hit by a car were among the things found on area roadways.

Creston Fire Department was notified of a smoking car on Montana 35 Tuesday.

Whitefish Fire Department and Montana Highway Patrol were called about a chip truck that was jack-knifed on Montana 40 and Whitefish Stage Road Tuesday.
