Over-celebration Halloween at Downtown Bars

| November 2, 2006 1:00 AM

Whitefish Police gave rides home to a number of people who over-celebrated Halloween at downtown bars.

A man called 911 to report kids throwing pumpkins at cars on Kalispell Avenue. Someone in a truck shot paint balls at people on Central Avenue.

A man dressed in a costume of Batman's nemesis punched someone behind Casey's bar. Officers weren't able to locate the Joker.

There was something suspicious about two people in a car on Spokane Avenue, according to a caller, but it wasn't clear what they were doing.

A woman was arrested for DUI and having an open container of alcohol. Another woman was picked up for her second DUI near Big Mountain Trailer Court. A man was arrested for possession of drugs and paraphernalia, disturbing the peace, and urinating in public on Central Avenue. A man who was charged with disorderly conduct and his third offense of underage alcohol possession was also charged with obstructing an officer for trying to pass himself off as his brother.

Police were called by the fire department Tuesday when the crew was unhappy with the gestures some youths were making at the fire truck.
