Selia Adeline Mildren, 93
Selia Adeline Mildren, 93, passed away on Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, at her home in Bigfork. She was born Sept. 10, 1913, in Bigfork, to Sivert B. and Anna (Lee) Ramsfield.
Selia attended high school at Flathead County High School in Kalispell for two years before Bigfork High School opened. She finished her final two years at Bigfork High School.
She married Delmar O. Mildren on July 26, 1935, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. They were married for 55 years during which they farmed and ranched in the Swan River area.
In the summer, Selia enjoyed gardening and arranging flowers. In the fall, Selia led a bough crew for Snowline Tree Co. for a number of years.
She was a longtime member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Bigfork. Other hobbies included ceramics and rug making.
The family would like to thank Jane Mildren for her love, friendship and care of Selia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Edwin and Orville Ramsfield; and one grandson, Mark Mildren.
She is survived by two sons, Stan Mildren and wife JoAnn of Pullman, Wash., and Alvin Mildren and wife Anna of Clancy; 10 grandchildren, Jane Lawford and husband Thomas of Moscow, Idaho, Lynn Miles of Seattle, Joelle Maley and husband Bill of Rosalia, Wash., Tim Mildren and wife Sally of Spokane, Nate Mildren and wife Rebecca of Tel-Aviv, Israel; Dan Mildren and wife Denise of Bigfork, Tom Mildren of Spokane, Keith Mildren and Mary Mildren of Clancy, and Stephanie Boysen and husband Randy of Boulder; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Selia Adeline Mildren will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, in the Johnson Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in the Lonepine Cemetery in Bigfork. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, at Johnson Mortuary.
