Woodpecker was ensnared in a spiderweb

Kalispell police dispatched the animal warden to Liberty Street, where a woodpecker was ensnared in a fake spiderweb Halloween decoration. It was gone when the warden arrived.

Threats over a barking dog were reported on Ashley Drive.

A man was seen trying to get into vehicles on Corporate Drive.

There were three reports throughout the day Thursday of a black Labrador dodging traffic downtown. There were two reports about a man who also caused concern in traffic and then refused to stop sitting on the ground outside of Smith's. He was sent on his way.

Personal stereos were stolen at the junior high school and at the agriculture education school.

Things that were where they didn't belong included a large amount of cement spilled on U.S. 93 and North Meridian Road and sugar in the gas tank of a truck on Seventh Avenue East.

Harassing calls were reported on Corporate Drive, and harassment was reported at Smith's.
