June's primary elections were the first conducted at revised polling places in Flathead County.

Some 22 polling places were consolidated into eight and 24 were moved to new locations.

There now are 30 polling places in Flathead County, compared to 43 in 2004.

Those who did not vote in the primary should take note of the changes. The chart at right lists all new polling places, as well as those that are unchanged.

Voters in Precinct 14 who voted in the primary election at the Hungry Horse Fire Department should note that their polling place has moved to the Martin City QRU building.

Voting will be on paper ballots that are electronically tabulated.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday. Voters must bring identification in order to cast a ballot.

Local election officials say that a large number of voters have cast absentee ballots.

Voters with questions should contact the election office at 758-5535.
