Jim passed away Oct. 30, 2006, in Salt Lake City.

Jim Perry was born Nov. 3, 1945, in West Point, Miss., to Clarence and Pauline Perry. He graduated from Redondo Beach High School in California and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving his country in Vietnam.

He married Janine, his wife of 33 years, in August 1973. After having their first child, Zachary, in 1977, they moved to the mountains of Montana to raise a family. In 1980, his family was finalized with the birth of their daughter, Heidi.

Jim carved out a living at the lumber mills and later with the National Park Service, acquiring numerous friendships along the way. Jim was a true character, a person who spoke from his experiences and was not intimidated by anyone who opposed his principles. He could put a smile on anyone's face and draw a laugh from even the most reserved.

Jim enjoyed barbecuing for family and friends, conversations around the campfire, especially of a political nature, and Notre Dame football. Above all else, Jim loved his family.

As a beloved son, husband and father, Jim's spirit will remain alive in us always. 'We love you Papa!'

No services will be held.
