Corinna Marie (Kager) Brubaker, 45

Corinna Marie (Kager) Brubaker, 45, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at her home in Columbia Falls.

She was born April 8, 1961, in Anacortes, Wash., to Barbara and Robert E. Kager. She attended Conway Grade School and graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1979.

Corinna married Timothy Brubaker on March 17, 1979. She has raised two children and just became a grandmother on June 18, 2006. She was a Girl Scout Leader for eight years in Mount Vernon, Wash.

They moved to Montana in 1994. She worked in retail sales for the past 10 years.

Her interests were her spinning wheel where she spent uncountable hours making yarn for numerous projects for herself and others. She loved lighthouses and carousels and orcas, all of which she has a large collection. She spent time with the Flathead Spay & Neuter Task Force and was very active with Crossing the Barriers. She was always working on some community project. She loved animals and spent uncountable hours on pet forums.

Corinna is survived by her parents, Barbara and Robert E. Kager, of Mount Vernon; her husband of more than 27 years, Timothy Brubaker, of Columbia Falls; her daughter, Clarissa and Roger McCallister; her son, Benjamin Brubaker; her granddaughter, Charity Jean McCallister; a brother, Robert W. Kager of Plummer, Idaho; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews in the Northern Puget Sound area. She also leaves behind her assorted "fur kids."

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Assembly of God Church in Columbia Falls.

The family has suggested that memorials be made to the Flathead Spay & Neuter Task Force, P.O. Box 2095, Whitefish, MT 59937.

Arrangements are with the Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls.
