| November 10, 2006 1:00 AM

Kalispell police stopped a driver in connection with a drunken-driving complaint and wound up with a burglary suspect. Someone reported that the driver of a blue Dodge pickup possibly was intoxicated at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday. An officer stopped a truck like that and became suspicious of the driver and items in his vehicle. He eventually arrested the driver on suspicion of felony possession of drugs and theft. The investigation led the officer to the school shop. There, he found two storage units pried open. Police were obtaining search warrants in the case Thursday evening to try to find whether a connection to other recent burglaries exists.

Another driver was charged Thursday with his third DUI after another driver suspected he was intoxicated and followed him. An officer stopped the driver and determined that he had just left a hospital with directions to not drive, but did. A woman was arrested for DUI on Bruyer Way Wednesday and a man was arrested for his second DUI on U.S. 2.

At a transient camp by the river, a man was arrested for having an open container of alcohol and resisting arrest. Two other man were arrested for open-container violations.

A girl was arrested after a complaint that she hit another girl with a bat on Ninth Avenue West.

On Fourth Avenue West North, a man called about someone beating on his door Wednesday night. It turned out to be his mother.
