Kalispell Fire Department ambulance took a 7-year-old boy to the hospital after the pickup he was riding in crashed on Caroline Road. Earlier, someone had reported the driver as possibly driving drunk.

Controlled burns on Whishart Road in Columbia Falls and on Haskill Mountain Road generated concerned phone calls. Columbia Falls Fire Department checked on a burned down outbuilding and Smith Valley Fire Department found Plum Creek Timber Co. in control of its Browns Meadow burns.
