Earle D. Winfrey, 80

Earle D. Winfrey, 80, former mayor of Libby, died Nov. 10, 2006, at his home in Boise, Idaho.

He and his wife Alice had owned and operated Libby Floral and Gift, and Earle later had been safety engineer for Morrison-Knudson Construction on the Libby Dam Project.

After moving to Boise, he had been contract administrator for Morrison-Knudson's railroad division.

He had served as mayor of Libby, as well as a city councilman in the middle and late 1960s.

Survivors include his wife, Alice; two daughters, Patrice Roberts and John, and Mary Siewert and Mike; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services and interment will be Wednesday in Boise under the direction of Summers Funeral Home.
