Nadine Lillie (Nevins) Quilling, 81

Private family services will be held at the Lone Pine Cemetery in Bigfork, for Nadine Lillie (Nevins) Quilling, 81, of Choteau, who died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006, at her home in Choteau from natural causes.

She was born Dec. 28, 1924, in Sidney, the daughter of Frank and Lillie (Bahls) Nevins. She attended schools at Three Buttes, Sidney High School and Business College in Grand Forks, N.D. She was married to Gordon Quilling on July 2, 1944, in Denver.

She was the greatest cook. Caramel popcorn was everyone's favorite.

Nadine also was an election judge and was dedicated to her church and her faith.

Her favorite flower was the red rose and her favorite song was "The Old Rugged Cross." Her favorite color was lavender/purple and her smile was her trademark.

She is survived by daughters, Jan March of Colstrip, and Colette and Kim Yeager of Choteau; sons, Douglas Quilling of Savage, and Paul Quilling of Sidney; brother, Joe Nevins, of Cheyenne, Wyo.; grandchildren, Shane Quilling, Leigh Merritt, Nikki Patton, George G. Groesbeck, Jana Mussard, Calie Mayte, Casie Nickey and Justin Quilling, Camie Fitzgerald, Jennifer McGovern, Daniel, Brant, Douglas, Dustin and Jeffrey Yeager, Chad Quilling and Kari Jones; 26 great-grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband, Gordon; her parents; a son, Steven and two brothers.
