Kalispell police were busy warning youths to behave Wednesday and Thursday. Officers cautioned a group of children about the dangers of playing by the creek at Begg Park. Also at Begg Park, youths were reported trying to cut down a city tree. Two vehicles full of teenagers sped around the Rosauer's parking lot, nearly hitting someone. More madcap driving was reported at the high-school football field. Officers warned some boys to stop chasing a bird at Woodland Park.

A resident on Sixth Avenue East reported that his son accidentally fired a hunting rifle inside the house. The bullet passed through several walls, but didn't penetrate a neighbor's house. An officer counseled the family.

A woman wanted to file an assault complaint against her sister at Bing Court. A disturbance was reported on Grandview Drive.

A parked car rolled into traffic from a lot on Main and Idaho streets.
