Police play Dr. Phil for troubled citizens

| November 22, 2006 1:00 AM

Kalispell Police had to referee unsportsman-like conduct between people, including family members, on Monday and Tuesday.

Among the reports was a complaint about a sister who kicked a vehicle at IHOP; an officer counseled the siblings about a child custody dispute, also. On Ninth Street East, a resident said his brother tried to throw a pizza cutter at him. At Smith's, a woman reported that a man tried to pull her husband out of a vehicle and spat on the car over a dispute about a parking space.

Mail was stolen on Second Avenue West.

A woman on 10th Street West said she gets harassing calls from an ex-roommate.

A man was arrested for DUI on Airport Road.

From Sawbuck bar came a call that an unwelcome man keeps coming around and refusing to leave. He also called police to say he wasn't in the wrong. He was advised not to go back.

A man with binoculars caused suspicion, but he was only doing surveillance for a repo company.

An arrest at the junior high school was for possession of drugs and paraphernalia.

A blue 1977 station wagon was taken without permission on Third Avenue West.
