Missing hunters are OK

Five hunters lost; five hunters found.

Three incidents of lost hunters were reported to the Flathead County Sheriff's Office on Saturday and Sunday.

The longest search lasted about 24 hours from late Saturday afternoon to late Sunday afternoon when two women hunters were lost in the Good Creek Road area near Olney.

The Flathead County Search and Rescue Team found them with help from some other hunters in that area. They last had contact with their families at 2 p.m. Saturday. They were supposed to return from their hunting at 5 p.m. Saturday, but did not. They were reported missing to the Sheriff's Office at about 2 a.m. Sunday.

Two Flathead County residents who went hunting were reported missing in the Thompson River Road area in Sanders County Saturday afternoon, but were later found.

Another hunter was reported missing early Saturday evening in the Whitefish area, but friends later found him.
