Kalispell police arrested a 41-year-old man early Saturday evening

for spitting on, plus pushing or hitting, a woman protesting the war in Iraq. The incident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Idaho and Main streets. Some witnesses intervened in the incident and the suspect ran away, but soon was caught.

Police arrested a 21-year-old Kalispell man for drug possession at a west Kalispell home.
