Larry A. Rhodes, 49
Larry A. Rhodes, 49, passed away at his Kalispell residence Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006.
Larry was born March 28, 1957, in Kalispell. He attended Elrod Elementary and Kalispell Junior High, and graduated from Flathead High School. After graduation he went to Helena, where he attended the vo-tech for two years as an auto mechanic. He returned to Kalispell and primarily worked as a janitor for the Outlaw Inn, Grouse Mountain Lodge and other jobs around town.
As a young man, he was a member of the Boy Scouts and bivouacked in the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area to earn merit badges. He had hiked all over the Wilderness area. From his Boy Scout days, he retained his love of camping. He also loved fishing, hunting and anything associated with the outdoors.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lester George and Orrine Rhodes; and sister, Joyce Pearl Rhodes.
He is survived by his brother, Lester Rhodes, of Kalispell; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at Glacier Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Duane Hull officiating.
