Man behaved in shady manner

| October 13, 2006 1:00 AM

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office took a call late Wednesday night from a resident on Shady Lane who was distressed to find a man trying to get into the house and throwing up on the deck and floor. There was more vomiting and then he tried to get into his vehicle, went back to the house, and "went ballistic" trying to push in the door. A deputy arrived and took him to jail on a warrant for failing to appear in court earlier.

Deputies were called about a goose on Wettington Drive that someone thinks is kept in a too-small cage. Two goats are reportedly kept in pens that are too small in Hungry Horse; a deputy found some goats that seemed fine.

There's an investigation into the death of a horse that was tied to a tree in the Rogers Lake area and became a horse d'oeuvre for a bear or other predator.

A garage door and four boxes of hardware landed in the road on Montana 35.

A student was caught with a knife at Evergreen Elementary School.

The man was described as intoxicated, with a knife that looked like a meat cutter chained to his side, at Berne Park. A deputy gave him a ride home.
