City kiddies took a country cat

| October 20, 2006 1:00 AM

The Flathead County Sheriff's Office was called about some children who stole a kitten from the animal shelter.

Among the things that appeared in people's driveways were a white SUV that kept arriving and leaving on Many Lakes Drive, and a woman with two children pushing a shopping cart on Dawn Drive.

An assault was reported on Chapman Hill Road. A sexual assault involving a girl was reported on Middle Road. A dispute between a mother and daughter was physical.

A case of a missing guitar was reported on Parliament Drive.

People with fireworks and a disregard for the hour agreed to quiet down at 1 a.m. at Rocky Mountain Hi Campground.

Officers gave a woman a ride home after she startled someone by jumping out of the bushes on Whalebone Drive at about 2:30 a.m.

It wasn't much of a fair fight when a dog in Hungry Horse was beat up by cats - two big mountain lions and two little ones.
