Timothy Miles Hines, 43, died Oct. 8, 2006, in Kalispell after a short illness. Tim was born in Missoula on Dec. 3, 1962, to Thomas S. Hines and Beverly J. Hines.

He attended K-12 schools in Billings, Brown Technical Institute and graduated from Dunwoody Institute, both in Minneapolis, with a degree in graphics and printing operations. He also served in the Army and was stationed in Germany.

Tim enjoyed Montana's great outdoors: skiing, hiking, camping and fishing all his life. He was a gifted, creative - yet amateur - artist, working with watercolors, pencil, charcoal and clay. He was generous, caring and a born-again believer who often offered a helping hand to people less fortunate than himself.

Tim was preceded in death by his sister, Noelle; grandfathers, F.L. Oliver, and T. Sewell Hines; grandmother, Louise Blackford, and cousin, Christi Oliver.

He is survived by his father, Tom Hines, and stepmother, Sandy, of Billings; his mother, Bev Hines, also known as Kate Oliver, of Edmonds, Wash.; his sister, Colette Jobs, and David, and their children, Sydney and Jackson, of Seattle; his grandmother, Lucille Oliver, of Tarzana, Calif.; his stepgrandmothers, Kathryn Hines and Mildred Oliver, of Billings; his stepbrother, Chris Wilde, and Rae, and their child, Molly, of Cedarburg, Wis.; his stepsister, Jennifer Hardy, and Chip, and their child, Connor, of Appleton, Wis., and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tim's remains were cremated and buried Oct. 18 in a private family service conducted by Pastor Ron Todd of Faith Chapel.

Memorials may be sent to: Rimrock Foundation, 1231 N. 29th, Billings, MT 59101; Salvation Army, 2100 Sixth Ave. N., Billings, MT 59101; or Faith Chapel, 517 Shiloh Road, Billings, MT 59104.
