Sales pitch leaves a mess behind

The man who came to her door demonstrating vacuum cleaners failed to make a sale after he sprinkled litter from her cat box all over her house. The Hungry Horse woman told the Flathead County Sheriff's Office that the kitty litter was in all her clothes and personal items.

She thought she was only dreaming, but a woman on Whitetail Lane in Whitefish really did dial 911 Friday night.

On Whitefish Stage Road, someone relieved a for-sale pickup of its tailgate.
