Whitefish police were called about an assault on the west side

of town early Sunday morning and another assault reported later Sunday morning that involved a man, a woman, her tequila and $15, and allegations of abuse.

A man walking his dog at 4 a.m. Sunday reported seeing a mountain lion in the high-school parking lot.

It was Sunday evening when someone was visible inside the high school, putting things in a bag. The suspect was later seen on a bike. An officer who asked for identification learned that the person is a teacher at the school.
