Mae Guffey Campbell, 98

Mae Guffey Campbell, 98, died in her home in Kalispell with her beloved husband, Harry Campbell at her side on Aug. 31, 2006.

She was born May 3, 1908 in Far West, Mo., the daughter of William Jeptha and Lucy Luenda (Littrell) Guffey.

Mrs. Campbell worked as a retail salesperson in Denver, and an insurance salesperson in Great Falls, early in her life. Later she greatly enjoyed working with her husband on numerous ranches. They loved traveling between ranches, sometimes traveling over 500 miles in a weekend.

She was preceded in death by her children, Norman Livengood and Peggy Dwiggins, as well as two grandchildren, Lynn Livengood and Thelma Livengood Korb. She was also preceded in death by her mother and father, and two sisters and four brothers.

In addition to her husband of 56 years, Harry Campbell, she is survived by four grandchildren, Judy Mae Hickey, Bonnie Farrar, Connie Souza, and Edward Livengood. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at noon Tuesday, Sept. 5, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1380 Whitefish Stage Road in Kalispell. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Baker, Ore. There will be no visitation.
