A vehicle and a bike collided Sunday afternoon

at the intersection of U.S. 2 and West Cottonwood Drive. The bicyclist, a young man, was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center, the Flathead County Sheriff's Office reported.

Three black bear sightings were reported Saturday afternoon and evening in and around Columbia Falls. One sighting had a bear eating a deer on Half Moon Road. Another had a bear next to the ball park on Nucleus Avenue. A third had a bear on Dawn Drive.
