Lloyd 'Glenn' Hartman Jr., 57

Lloyd "Glenn" Hartman Jr., 57, of Kalispell passed away on Sept. 14, 2006, as a result of complications from diabetes at the Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

He was born on Feb. 9, 1949, in Portsmouth, Va., to Lloyd Glenn Hartman and Alma (Leidholt) Hartman. He attended schools in Miles City and Kalispell. He graduated from Flathead High School in 1967. He did a short stint in the Army from which he was medically and honorably discharged in 1968.

He learned the trade of baker. He continued that trade until 1981. He then learned the trade of fire suppression systems becoming a fire suppression technician. He later applied that trade in Eugene, Ore., and Huntington Beach, Calif. He retired in 1998 due to health reasons and returned to Kalispell in 2002.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Jeanette (Patterson) Hartman; his two children from a previous marriage, Charles Dee Hartman (1970) of Idaho and Candice Sue Hartman (1972) of Sequim, Wash.; and two grandchildren, Jordan and Hope. He is also survived by his mother, Alma Hartman and her companion, John Schaefer, of College Place, Wash.; sister, Nancy Ruhmshottel of Couer d'Alene, Idaho; brother, Edward Hartman and his wife, Jan, of Pasco, Wash.; and brother, Larry Hartman and his wife, Ailyn, of Arvada, Colo. He is also survived by one niece and six nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Hartman, in 1997.
