Woods Bay man dies in accident

The man was southbound near Woods Bay at about 3 a.m. when he went off the left side of a right curve, said Patrolman Ed Sievers with Montana Highway Patrol. The vehicle struck a rock face on the left side of the road, then veered into the guard rail on the right side. It then flipped, and the driver was ejected.

The driver was traveling at a high speed and wasn't wearing his seatbelt when he crashed. Alcohol is "strongly suspected" to have been a factor, Sievers said.

The driver's name is being withheld until his family is notified.
