A Kalispell man was sentenced to 10 years in prison Thursday for possessing child pornography.

Elias Lime was 53 when he admitted in federal court that he downloaded and shared computer images and videos of young children engaged in sexual activities.

U.S. District Judge James Singleton from Butte sentenced Lime to two concurrent 10-year terms for receiving child pornography and for possessing it.

Prosecutors say that in July 2005, agents of the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement received information that Lime was swapping child pornography with others on the Internet.

In September, they searched Lime's home.

He admitted he had the pornography and said he also liked to watch young children in his apartment complex.

Lime must register as a sex offender and pay a $200 fine.
