The Flathead County Sheriff's Office was called to the Bigfork area Monday afternoon

when a woman fell or was pushed from a moving vehicle. She was taken to the hospital, and officers chased the driver.

Deputies arrested a man on a charge of assault with a weapon after he allegedly beat a woman with a baseball bat early Monday morning. According to a report, she gave Nathaniel Stilson, 22, a ride from a gas station because she thought he was too intoxicated to drive. She said she had never met him before. Undersheriff Mike Meehan said the woman took him to her house, where he became obnoxious. The woman and her boyfriend asked him to leave, Meehan said. She said Stilson punched her boyfriend and beat her with a bat before leaving. Then, Meehan said, the woman went to a store to buy ice cream, encountered Stilson again, and again was assaulted. She went by ambulance to the hospital, and he went to jail.

A woman said people are slandering her name on the trash containers in Olney.

On Mountain Drive, someone complained about a truck with 12 passengers, driving slowly and playing loud music with dirty lyrics. A second caller reported there was one youth on the roof of the truck and two in the cab. A deputy arrived and the problem was resolved.

A credit card was stolen on Helena Flats Road.

A cell phone rang in the bushes at State Park boat launch.

A black bear was reported in the backyard and garage of a home on Helena Flats Road.

Gas and a gun were stolen on Easton Drive. A welder was stolen on Conestoga.

Threats were reported on Columbia Falls Stage Road. A domestic problem was reported on Elk Park Road.

For the second time in a few days, people have complained about a small man in a small car, exposing himself to other drivers on U.S. 2 between Kalispell and Columbia Falls.
