Flathead County Sheriff

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies were asked to intervene when people who'd recently purchased a dog stopped payment on the check because they'd had to pay a large veterinary bill for the animal. The previous owner still wanted the money for the dog. Deputies told the new owners to pay for the dog or give it back.

A rabid cat was reported at a home on Fourth Street West in Kalispell. The county animal warden took it to the animal shelter.
